I know how we all look forward to Mondays. I mean we jump out of bed excited to start whatever Monday has in store. Right? Well, maybe not quite. I'm slow to get started every morning when my alarm goes off at five. For me mornings shouldn't start before seven.
I don't know if there is a good reason for people to hate Monday's, but a good majority dread their alarms going off Monday morning. We just expect nothing good to come from Mondays. This Monday morning was no different. Things started out slow but great. Had a tough but good workout, packed a healthy lunch and snacks for work, got some studying done for my new part time job as a Beachbody coach, and got ready for work looking dressed for success. Things were going as planned and as I leave a little early to get a head start on the work day, just about to the car, I spill coffee down my pant leg. My white pant leg. The head start I was going to get ended being extra time to change clothes for work and pretreat my dress pants.
Other than my morning mishap, my day ended up being pretty good and productive. So are our feelings regarding Mondays based on perspective? I read in a Strategies for Success what we believe is what our mind makes happen. On one hand, when the day starts off rough, I expect the rest of the day to follow suit. Overall, I was feeling like it was going to be a good day and it was. How are you looking at your Mondays?
