I was recently asked an interesting question, what is your why? Now this question was referring to my why I wanted to become a Beachbody coach, but I think it can relate to other areas of our lives.
My oldest, Andrew, joined the Air Force, his why, family tradition. We have had a military member active during every military action since World War 2. My middle son, Rhett, is finishing 6th grade, but has so far shown interest in joining the Coast Guard. His why, well he shows the most interest in jobs that protects our boards or rescues people. My youngest, Josh, he wants a college degree and an NFL career. His why, well not only does he love sports, he dedicates himself fully.
Like my boys, we have dreams, goals, things we want to accomplish. The difference in being successful, not even starting, or failing comes down to our why. What drives us? When I went back to school my why was to be able to gain employment in a career I wanted instead of one I have to settle for. My drive was wanting an office position rather than an assembly line. That was a powerful why for me. I finished my degree in 3 1/2 years. Find your why, your drive, the biggest, most powerful reason behind your dreams, goals, ambitions; by hanging on to both, you could see the things you want most happen.
