Homecoming

Its homecoming week here in our hometown. Our small town does it up all week. Class colors, dress up day, class skits, burning of the letter, crowning the king and queen, the parade, and the big game. The whole week has a theme. This year "Through the Decades."

The decades my boys classes will dress as...one in the fifties and the other in the sixties. My seventh grader says he has to dress as a hippie. So I dug out my bell bottoms from Halloween a couple of years ago. Now to find him something for the rest. My fourth grader a "greaser" as the guys from the movie Grease. It should be fun to watch all the kids kindergarten through seniors dress up and design floats. Seeing it all in the parade. Its a huge boost in energy before the big game.
These traditions will continue year after year. Passing through generations as children of alumni go to the same small town school. While this year is our first as a co-op with a neighboring school we have been fortunate to keep our traditions.

Fall is definitely here. Football games for all age groups, with our big homecoming game Friday....Go Badgers!
