Last night after work we made the 35 mile trip to Brookings, had supper and picked up groceries. On the way my oldest called to let me know I'm going to be a grandma, that brings me to being thankful.
First I'm thankful for motherhood. My three boys are the greatest thing to happen to me. Each one of them is special and unique in their own ways. My oldest, who is currently active duty Air Force, is quiet, steadfast, responsible, loving, hardworking and my biggest challenge. He struggled all the way through school. There have been times when he's been my rock just as much as I've been his. My second son is brilliant, caring, bashful, stubborn, and argumentative. I've seen him entertain his three year old cousin without a second thought and let his other younger cousins push and pull him around. He loves the outdoors and hunting. He is growing into a wonderful young man even if he tries my patience. My youngest son is another quiet son but he is also extremely smart, stubborn, steadfast, athletic, active, challenging, and my snuggler (at least for now). He is attentive to his younger cousins and let's our little niece drag him around. Our cat and dog are loyal to him to a fault. He has this way about him that draws you in.
Each of my kiddos have brought so much to my life over the last nineteen years, I couldn't imagine my life without them.
Second I'm thankful for the friendship I have with my husband he is so much more than my partner. The friendships I've continued since high school, the friends I've made after we moved back home, the friends I made since I started working, and the friendships I've made through Beachbody. I've been so lucky with the caring people I have in my life. The type of friends that are really more like family.
