We have all heard the saying when it's rains it pours. Well around here it started with a slight down pour when in November our oldest announced that he and his girlfriend were getting married and having a baby this summer. A shock yes to say the least. Then they choose Dec 26th as their wedding date giving us a month to plan. You've got it the pressure was on.
So the slight down pour tickled off to a sprinkle as I drive myself crazy with everything that needs to get done. You see they are getting married here in our home town and her family 3 hours away. While we are all trying our best to work together it hard planning for a wedding here with everyone else 3-5 hours away. Yet we seem to be making it work.
I still need to do Christmas shopping and baking and all the things my family expects with the season. So this weekend will be busy. Thank the heavens for online shopping, as of last night most of that's done. Yet there's plenty to do.
So as if the normal holiday chaos isn't enough we added wedding plans, then Tuesday we finally get a plumber in to see to the basement pipes. Get ready for the hurricane. Our local plumber tried for two hours to clear the pipes to end with a referral to a plumber with a pipe camera. The following day another plumber comes by to power flush the lines only to have what was left of our pipes come back up the floor drain.
To sum up December so far, the normal Christmas chaos and planning + wedding ti take place Dec 26th + digging up half the basement concrete to replace drain pipes. I sure hope Santa brings me a full service spa day once this is over.
