These days everyone is busy. Our house is no different. Basketball has taken over the majority of our time. With one son playing junior high and high school basketball, another playing 5th/6th, my husband coaching and me taking stats for 5th/6th grade we are running form game to game. I'll tell you some of these games are stressful. I sit on the edge of my seat, clueless most of the time, hollering out instructions. Rebound, good passes, ah come on ref. Yeah, I'm fall into one of those parents. The ones who are loud and crazy. I don't know anything about basketball. I can't figure out how my husband spots travels and half a dozen other calls. But there I sit quiet until I get to a point where I feel like the kids and the refs need a little extra guidance. Although sitting in bleachers for hours is not something I enjoy. The hours a tournament can take with long waits between games I would skip. Multiple trips to and suppers from concessions is not doing me any favors either. I am thankful that my eighth graders coach inforces a "shower before leaving after a game" policy.
