Crazy Schedules

I love routines and schedules. I sit down with a planner and write out all the kids activities, school events, work stuff, appointments, time off, everything I can think of at the beginning of the month and tweak it as the month goes on. I'm looking at this school year and thinking not only do I need two of me, I might actually need three.

Two boys in football, one of the two also in cross country. Both in youth groups. Both in band and other school activities.

My husband is thinking we have a teenage driver, again, so Rhett can drive Josh to his football practices twice a week. He's forgetting that Rhett has his own practices and will still be at the practice field when Josh has to be there. It's the days where my schedule collides one activity with another. Like Rhett's cross county meets in one town and trying to get Josh to football practice in another immediately after.

I love having fit active kids, don't get me wrong, but this mom, taxi driver, and cheerleader just might need reinforcements this year. For now I'm going to enjoy my the view from my window and the pride I have watching Josh, whose a team captain this year, run drills.
